OVERVIEW
Komodo & Labuan Bajo
Komodo National Park is one of the planet's most extraordinary wilderness areas -- a UNESCO World Heritage Site spanning rugged volcanic islands, mangrove-fringed bays, turquoise waters, and some of the richest marine biodiversity on earth. The park is home to approximately 3,000 Komodo dragons, the world's largest living lizards, which roam freely across the islands of Komodo and Rinca. Labuan Bajo, on the western tip of Flores, serves as the gateway to the park and has transformed from a sleepy fishing village into a thriving adventure hub. From here, live-aboard boats and day trips depart for dragon encounters, world-class dive sites, pink sand beaches, and the iconic Padar Island viewpoint. The waters around Komodo are among the richest in the Coral Triangle, with manta rays, reef sharks, sea turtles, and psychedelic marine life in abundance.
Komodo National Park delivers bucket-list experiences in rapid succession -- walking among dragons, diving with mantas, trekking to jaw-dropping viewpoints, and swimming at pink-sand beaches. It is one of the last places on earth where prehistoric creatures still roam free, and the marine life rivals anywhere in the world.
